23rd July 2007Today’s meeting started with a call for action from our Club President, Ms Linn Loh - to accept more challenges and work diligently to complete our speeches.
Keeping with that theme, our latest new club member, Amit Roy introduced himself to us in his icebreaker speech (Project 1). We welcomed Amit aboard the Lion City Toastmasters and wish him great success on his journey to become Competent Toastmaster!
Club Immediate Past President, Goh Kheng Chuan (CL), shared his humorous wisdom with us in an educational speech. He helped us understand the key elements we might consider when delivering an effective humorous speech which are bound to keep the audience laughing.
The Lion City Toastmasters Club also had two guests that joined us for the meeting.
