Toastmasters, founded in 1932 celebrated its 82nd anniversary on the 22 October 2006. To mark this joyous occasion, LionCity Toastmasters Club organized a barbeque at our ever-humorous Club Treasurer, Guek Eng’s condominium.
The perfect and cordial host, Guek Eng treated the club members to an array of sumptuous cuisine. Our Club President, Kheng Chuan, also pitched in generously with his selection of food snippets. His beef hotdogs had won him some nods of approval!
Some of the former club members also joined in the barbeque fun!! They included Kiat Bee, Daryll and their adorable baby girl. Chern Han, alongside Sanjeev and his family who took time off, made an appearance as well! Chee Kheong, the romance guru of the club attended the gathering with his wife – the subject of his many speeches. And our regular guests - Joey , SK and their bundle of joy, bonded further with the other club members at the barbeque.
A special segment of the night included Kiat Bee, renowned among club members as a marvellous story-teller, entertained everyone with her ghost stories! Just in time for some harmless, pre-halloween scare!
It was a wonderful night celebrating TOASTMASTER INTERNATIONAL DAY with a Barbeque ~ LionCity Toastmasters Club Style!
